Check whether your Plus subscription has expired
Open ChatGPT's subscription page to check your current plan and expiry. Expired subscriptions, active subscriptions and plan changes have different purchase requirements. Read renewal terms before choosing a product.
We do not automatically charge your payment account for renewals. If you previously enabled renewal with ChatGPT or an app store, check that platform's account. Do not cancel an active subscription before understanding how the new product handles remaining time.

Can you renew early, and what happens to remaining time?
On the ChatGPT Plus plan page, check whether it supports an account that has not expired and what happens to remaining time. Some products require expiry first; others replace the current subscription. Do not assume one month is added after your existing expiry date.
Renewal rules may differ by purchasing channel. If the product does not explain your situation, tell support your current plan and expiry date and clarify before paying.
First activation, renewal after expiry and an active subscription are different account states. Follow the terms for your iOS or card option. Unless replacement or stacking is explicitly supported, do not assume a month will be added after your existing expiry date.

Check the new expiry in your account after renewal completes
Choose a product supporting your current account state, pay and submit information as directed in the order. Once processing completes, check the new expiry in ChatGPT. Successful payment or code delivery may still leave activation steps to complete.
If the expiry date differs from the product description, request support from the order and provide a screenshot with sensitive information hidden. Wait until this account's current renewal finishes before proceeding; do not use several channels simultaneously.
